Schedule for training modules is Friday 1-5pm, Saturday 9.30am-5pm & Sunday 9.30am-5.00pm (except for Foundation Module Sat/Sun 9.30am-5.00pm). Location: Endeavour Street, Blockhouse Bay, Auckland.

Course Curriculum

1. Fundamentals of Dance Movement Therapy (DMT)

This weekend training will introduce participants to foundational skills and practices in the field of Dance Movement Therapy. The weekend will be highly experiential, with many opportunities to experience a variety of DMT approaches firsthand. Relevant theory and concepts will be presented to support the experiential learning. You will also have a chance to see some DMT in action via video presentations of work with clients, to have a glimpse of where this work may lead you! A wonderful opportunity to gain a fuller understanding of the field, and if it is the direction you want to head in. For Professionals working in a variety of therapeutic fields, this training will give you a grounding in movement based therapy and support your integration of some basic DMT tools into existing work.
